Mixthru #6 — Funk
A lot of really cool things going on in this tutorial. The Funk record itself like most Funk records has a very interesting low end happening. All of the groove is in the lows, so there is a synth bass, there’s also a bass guitar, there’s also bass guitar articulations that have been dubbed into it, and several layers of kick drums, plus some other cool things going on in the drums as well.
That’s all going to be in that tutorial. There’s a lot of really cool retro synths, and the vocalist has a really interesting affect to her voice. It’s got this sort of whispery, hazy quality, which makes it both challenging and interesting to work with.
It’s a really cool Mixthru, it follows the traditional Mixthru format where I start from ground zero, literally have not done anything to the record, and then go from point A all the way through to like, a pseudo master, working on the master buss, point Z over the course of about two hours, and of course, like the other Mixthrus, you will get the track outs as well.
So if you are interested in this Mixthru, if that sounds cool to you, which it should, you can find that at mixthru.co.
I think you’re going to learn a lot, and I will catch you next time.
