Free Drum Samples from Produce Like a Pro

Hi, it’s Warren Huart here. Hope you’re doing marvelously well.

What I am going to do is give you the drum samples that I use. If you’ve watched any of my other videos, you’ll see that I use specific drum samples, and I blend them in different ways. I’ve used them on Aerosmith albums, Fray albums, you name it. Pretty much everything I mix uses these specific drum samples, and I blend them.

So here’s a quick overview of the ones I have. There’s three different kicks here.

[kick 1]

That one gives us kind of the point. There’s the I Wanna, which is a big…

[kick 2]

Pretty big rocking kit. And then there’s the Warehouse kick, which I created by sticking a U67 in a warehouse.

[kick 3]

So that’s my three kick samples that I always use. I have the ones that Dave Jerden gave me from his — from Alice in Chains.

[Dave Jerden sample]

I have ones I created for what I call “thwack,” which are inaudible. Here we go.

[thwack sample]

Which I used to use a lot before I had a transient designer. I’ve got a wood room one here. Same thing.

[wood room snare]

That’s the overheads from the same thing. This one here, I’ve artificially created a room, because this room was small, so I just used the overheads and put a bit of verb on them.

[overhead verb snare]

[room snare]

And I blend that just to add a little bit of ring. Here’s the gallery snare.

[gallery snare]

All just thwack. And this is a great one. This is the D28. This will give you top. This is like, The Fray.

[D28 snare]

Great. 100Hz, if you just want to add some body.

[100Hz sample]

Believe it or not. A trashy snare.

[trashy snare]

Which is great for the bottom snare. Another wood snare.

[wood snare 2]

A rock snare.

[rock snare samples]

Nice ringy snare there.

[snare samples]

That’s a pretty good, solid snare sample.
