How to EQ Bass with iZotope Neutron

When EQing lower frequencies in Neutron, it’s important to get a good look at all of the low end real estate available in the frequency spectrum.

One way to do this is by clicking on the piano icon.

If I press it, you can see that I have a number of scales to choose from. I’m going to switch from logarithmic to extended logarithmic, but I want you to keep your eye on this space right here to see the changes.

So as you can see, we now have more room by switching scales to visualize what’s happening in the low end. This trick is especially useful if you’re making important decisions about bass heavy content, like bass guitars, kick drums, synths, anything with a lot of low end energy.
