Pro Audio Files

Best of 2011: Big List of Pro Audio Resources

Well, 2011 is in the books. It’s crazy to think back to launching the Pro Audio Files (on a whim) exactly 470 days ago. I’m still continually amazed by all the incredible people I’ve met on here (and on twitter too).

2011 was an exciting year. The Pro Audio Files continued to grow, and Quiztones graduated from crappy flash web-app to powerful frequency ear training software for Mac & iOS (thanks to Audiofile Engineering). Yep, I just started my own reflection by plugging my own projects – but hey, I gotta put food on the table too (gear in the racks).

What also excites me about 2011 is knowing 2012 will be even better. I’m guaranteed to get banned from Gearslutz 3x less than I did in 2011, which is cool or irrelevant. I also vow to dodge every Sweetwater phone call in 2012. “Yes, Brian, I received the catalog in the mail. Yes Brian, the patch cable still works.”

But the real reason I’m writing this is to simply thank everyone who’s influenced, supported, and inspired my endeavors this year, and acknowledge their unique contributions to the online pro audio/music community. I also want to thank you as a reader, whether it’s your first time here, or you’ve been following us since day 1. Without you none of this would be possible.

Below is a list of some blogs & people I’m fortunate enough to call my friends & colleagues. I hope you enjoy what they’ve done, and keep up on what they have in store for you in 2012.
